Construction Upgrades
Project Description & Timeline
Active Construction:
November 2021– August 2022
Location:
South County Hospital, Medical Office Building, 100 Kenyon Ave, Wakefield, RI 02879
Description:
Patients now have access to a variety of diagnostic and treatment resources at the new South County Health Center for Advanced Heart & Vascular Care.
Phase 1 of the project included the build-out of space occupied by the Cardiac Rehab Gym in the lower level of the Medical Office Building in preparation for the new Cardiovascular Center.
During Phase 2, South County Health Cardiology relocated from its current offices on the third floor of the Medical Office Building to the lower level area renovated during Phase 1. An additional 4,000 sq/ft of space was redesigned to accommodate the Wound Care Center so it is adjacent to Cardiology and Cardiac Rehab, becoming part of the Cardiovascular Center.
The Center for Advanced Heart & Vascular Care will provide patients with a comprehensive center of excellence, using innovative technologies and the expertise of South County Health's respected team of board-certified cardiologists and the vascular surgery professionals of The Vascular Experts.
Here, patients will benefit from a broad spectrum of cardiac procedures, including EKG, echocardiography, arrhythmia diagnosis, pacemaker
implantation, follow-up, catheterization, nuclear stress testing, and South County Hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab. In addition, vascular surgeons treat patients with conditions such as spider and varicose veins, rosacea, lentigines, and other vascular diseases.
